NEET 2018 – National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted for MBBS and BDS admission to all medical and dental colleges of the country. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct NEET 2018 in the first week of May in the offline mode. NEET application form 2018 will be available in last week of December 2017. In order to be eligible for NEET, applicants should have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from CBSE/state board. NEET 2018 question paper will consist of 180 objective type questions (MCQs) based on class 12 topics. NEET result will be announced only for those who will score the minimum qualifying marks as per their category. Based on the rank, a merit list will be prepared. As per the rank, aspirants will be called for NEET counselling for 15% All India Quota seats to be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The remaining seats will be filled by designated state admission committee. Academic Qualification: Candidate must have qualified class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology from CBSE/any state board or any equivalent examination from recognised university. Marks Obtained: General category candidates must secure 50% taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology, while SC/ST/OBC students should secure 40%. The person with locomotor disability of lower limbs from general and reserved category must secure 45% and 40% respectively. NEET 2018 Exam Centres The exam centres of NEET 2018 are the list of centres in various cities where the examination will be held. In the year 2017, the entrance test was held in 1921 NEET exam centres. While filling the application form, candidates will be required to select a city and centre. The selection of NEET exam centres 2018 will be allotted on first come first serve basis. The allocation of NEET 2018 exam centres will be on the basis of availability of seats in the selected city. NEET 2018 Admit Card NEET admit card 2018 is expected to be available in April. Only those aspirants whose application form will be accepted can download the admit card of NEET 2018. To download NEET admit card, applicants have to enter their registration number, date of birth and security pin. NEET 2018 admit card includes the name of candidate, date and time, address of exam centre and other relevant information. Students must verify the details mentioned in NEET admit card before downloading it. A printout must be taken by candidates and a passport size photo must be affixed on admit card. NEET 2018 admit card must be carried at the exam centre for identity verification purpose. NEET 2018 Exam Day Guidelines All the aspirants must follow the instructions mentioned below at the exam centre: Reporting at centre: Applicants are advised to report at the centre as per the schedule of NEET 2018. The entry will begin from 7:30 am and the last entry will be allowed till 9:30 am. Dress Code: As per the guidelines, candidates who will be appearing for NEET 2018 must wear half sleeves top/shirt. The clothes should be light in color. Only candidates wearing chappals and sandal will be allowed to appear for entrance test. All female applicants are not allowed to wear any ornament like bracelets, necklace or any metallic accessory. Things to carry during NEET 2018: Aspirants must carry NEET admit card along with original Aadhaar card, one postcard and passport size photograph as per the specifications. Things restricted in NEET 2018: Candidates cannot carry stationery items, communication devices, ornaments, watches, eatables, or any metallic item which can be used as unfair means are prohibited in the exam centre. NEET 2018 Syllabus NEET syllabus 2018 is based on the topics of class 11 and 12. The questions in NEET 2018 syllabus will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany+Zoology). The exam includes 180 questions and with each section containing 45 questions. NEET syllabus is recommended by the Medical Council of India (MCI) after reviewing the syllabus of various state boards, CBSE, Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) and National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT). NEET 2018 Sample Papers Aspirants preparing for NEET 2018 can practice through the sample papers for better preparation. By solving NEET sample papers, aspirants can enhance their time management skills and accuracy level. With the use of NEET 2018 sample papers, applicants will be familiar with the section-wise weightage of questions covered in the test. To challenge a question, aspirants have to pay Rs. 1000 using debit/credit card. NEET 2018 Answer Key CBSE will release NEET answer key in June 2018. NEET 2018 answer key includes solutions to the questions asked in the entrance test. The authority will publish NEET answer key for all codes of question booklet in English, Hindi and other 8 regional languages. The answers mentioned in the answer key of NEET 2018 can be challenged by the aspirants. To challenge NEET answer key 2018, aspirants must follow the instructions mentioned below. Use the link provided on this page. (Link will be provided) Enter registration number and password in the required space. Click on ‘key challenge’ tab and select the answer booklet code. And, NEET cutoff for admissions is the minimum scores which are determined to grant admissions to all medical and dental colleges of India. NEET 2018 cutoff is based on various factors such as difficulty level of test, number of candidates appeared, marking scheme, number of seats available etc. While NEET cutoff for admission varies for different state. Aspirants can check the qualifying cutoff of NEET 2018 as prescribed for different categories from the table provided below. NEET 2018 Merit List As per the marks secured in the entrance test, NEET merit list will be prepared for 15% All India Quota seats. NEET merit list 2018 will be equal to the number of seats available for MBBS and BDS courses under 15% All India Quota seats. All India Rank (AIR) mentioned in NEET merit list is one of the factors, which will be considered for allotment of MBBS and BDS seats. NEET 2018 Counselling NEET counselling 2018 for 15% All India Quota seats will start from July. Candidates included in NEET merit list will be called for counselling process. Applicants will be required to register themselves and select the preferences of colleges and courses for admission to medical and dental colleges. Aspirants will be granted admission on the basis of merit rank, preferences of colleges as well as courses and availability of seats. From all government medical and dental colleges, 15% are reserved for All India Quota seats, while 85% state quota seats will be filled through common counselling organised by respective state admission committee. From the previous year, MCC will conduct counselling for private/deemed and AFMC colleges. Through NEET counselling, 90, 000 MBBS and BDS seats will be allotted to medical and dental colleges of India. NEET 2018 Participating Institutes The participating institutes are the list of colleges which grants admission to MBBS and BDS courses as per NEET scores.
